Where to surf in Morocco? Snoopy reveals his best surf spots for every month!
by Snoopy
"Where are the best Surf spots today, Snoopy?"
"Where should I go on my Moroccan surf trip, Snoopy?"
These are the top questions I get in my DM’s, and honestly, I’m stoked that people turn to me to ask this. You know I love surfing and adventures and taking people along for the ride. Discovering & trying new spots along the coastline, finding secret empty breaks & taking guests to these gems is what I love the most about my ‘job’. It’s a passion that’s a pleasure to share some of the best surf spots with other stoked surfers!
And the best thing is, every month of the season brings up new spots that start working perfectly. Meaning I don’t have to go to the most popular breaks to catch a wave, but go to a new, uncrowded spot that has popped up.
So to give you some pointers, for every month of the season, here are some of my favourite surf spots/ regions along the Moroccan coastline. But you know, to go to the right spot at the right time…you’re best coming with me ;)
September
Tafedna
Just north of Imsouane & off the beaten track, this spot is perfect at the start of the season. A secluded bay with a lovely long wave that works perfect for those looking to warm up their skills for the winter.
October
Killer Point
Very well known, but a lot of surfers hit it in the peak surf month (Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb), but for me, in October it’s the best. The early swells makes it the perfect spot for a sunrise surf for an uncrowded surf and glassy waves.

November
Mirleft
This region has an amazing amount of local breaks that really start to fire up in November. Heading around here during my Surf Safari is key - it’s central to so many spots in the south that we are spoilt for choice here. Just got to time it perfect!

December
Draculas
Dracs is a well-known spot, but never gets too busy when it’s perfect. There’s a reason why it has its name. Sharp rocks surround this perfect wave, and knowing when and how to get in is key to enjoying this wave. Miss it, and it’s rubbish.

January
The Slab
This legendary local spot is an amazing barrelling wave when it’s working. It’s a tricky one to get in and out, and its shallow reef makes it not for the faint hearted. Tricky to find, but incredible when you get in that tube.
February
Boilers
Great all year round, but in the peak months, I love going to this break. It's big, fat & powerful and there's always great vibes here with the local Boilers surfers. Definitely not one to miss!

March
Sidi Kaouki
Another regular spot on my Surf Safari trip, this is another one that is perfectly placed to nearby local breaks to give us a choice. Lovely beach and point breaks that are a little off road, and if it’s working, not too far for a day trip to Safi.
April
Desert Point
One of our most local breaks, it delivers great waves all season long...even at the very end. I love it for it's consistency, protection from any wind and a good amount of power to give us one last hit before the season ends!
"But what about Anchor Point? Anza? IMSOUANE??"
Yes, they are all great spots. Anchor Point is incredible…when the line up is quiet. And Anza is the first wave I ever surfed, but just too popular. And Imsouane, I stop by when we have to, but I know other long waves around. If you know you know!
So if this season you're frothing to catch some epic waves this season, join me on a Surf Safari to see the real Moroccan coastline and the best waves. Yallah!
